In usual player: if you want to turn off the sound or to switch to another audio(video) track, you must activate application on the task bar, then find necessary button on the screen and click it by using mouse.
In Vidmex: whatever you are doing in Windows, just press Alt+Down/Up to turn volume Down/Up, press Win+V or Win+Z to change track, press Win+X to pause.
You don't need to activate Vidmex. You can use global hot keys inside any application (for example, from within Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, etc.). In this way you can control Vidmex even if monitor is turned off. You don't need to make sure Vidmex application is active. Global hot keys are ALWAYS working.
So, let's suppose you are typing a text in MS Word (or e-mail in Internet Explorer), and listening to music with Vidmex. Want to turn off the sound instantly? Don't bother yourself with switching applications, or using mouse! Just press Win+X and continue working.
Or, let's suppose the monitor is turned off and you don't know which application is active now. Music is playing very loudly and you want to turn volume down instantly. Just press: Alt+Down. Music playing in Vidmex will be muffled from within any application.
