Step 1
Download and install necessary video codecs from this web page: Codecs for Vidmex.
You can convert video files:

Launch Vidmex, click Open button. Find and open your video file. The file will be added into Playlist.
Step 2
Select your video file in Playlist and click on Menu: Operation -> Extract Video. After that, Vidmex Wizard will appear.
Step 3
In Vidmex Wizard enter the name of output video file and choose the folder where you want to save the file, click Next.
Select audio codec ( MPEG Layer-3, MS ADPCM, Windows Media Audio V2 etc ). Click Next.
Select video codec: XviD, MJPEG etc. Click Next. Accept video codec settings, press OK.
Wait several minutes (or even hours -- it depends on the CPU (processor) frequency and the size of video file). The Vidmex Wizard progress bar shows you how much of the conversion process is completed. The longer your movie and the larger its frame size, the longer the conversion will take.

Launch Vidmex, click Open button. Find and open your audio file. The file will be added into Playlist.
Step 2
Select your audio file in Playlist and click on Menu: Operation -> Extract Audio. After that, Vidmex Wizard will appear.
Step 3
In Vidmex Wizard enter the name of output audio file, select the folder where you want to save the file and choose the format: MP3 or WAV. Click Next.
Select audio codec for MP3 - MPEG Layer-3, for WAV - MS ADPCM, Windows Media Audio V2, GSM etc. Click Extract.
Wait several minutes. Now your audio file is converted to another format!
