Vidmex makes it easy to extract video fragments from your movies. Since Vidmex supports a large variety of video formats, you can use nearly any type of input video files — that is, it can be MPEG, ASF, WMV, Animated GIF, AVI, MPEG-4 XviD etc. (see Codecs section for more information). Here's how to get started in just a few, easy steps: Step 1 Click the "Open" button. An explorer window will appear. Locate the folder with your video clips or movies. Select any video file and open it. ![]() Click and drag the current time marker to the right , and click the "Begin" button (to select the Start position of video fragment).
Next, click and drag the time marker to the right again or wait several seconds/minutes. Click the "End" button (to select the End position of video fragment). | ||||

Step 2 Vidmex Wizard window will appear. Click the "Video Fragment" button.
Enter filename of video fragment to be extracted. Choose destination folder (if it's necessary). Click the "Next" button. TIP: Choose the "Fast Mode" option in order to extract video fragment up to 10 times faster (available only for AVI files). | ||||

Step 3 Choose Audio Codec: MPEG Layer-3 or Windows Media Audio V2 are recommended. Click the "Next" button.
Choose Video Codec: XviD is recommended. Click the "Next" button.
