Vidmex makes it easy to apply amazing video effects to video clips, records, movies, still images. Effects can be applied to any video files. Here's the list of supported formats: , etc. Vidmex allows to preview and to adjust video effects in real time. You can change effects during video playback, and then extract video fragment (or extract the whole video file) with effects. Selected video effects will be applied to the extracted video file. Step 2 Choose "Zoom/Flip": ![]() Zooming the area of a scene can sometimes be very critical to your story. With Vidmex you can quickly zoom in video. Want to get rid of this guy (on the left side of the video) ? Great idea ! Drag the slider bar to the right (Zoom In). After that, change the position of zoomed area by clicking on buttons with arrows (Up and Right).
After zooming in, consider possibility of applying blur effect from the Image Correction menu, in order to remove video blocks. With Vidmex, you can extract the scene, and then merge it with another video file to adjust circumstances that surround a situation. When the details attract attention, you have a distracting background. Overwhelming backgrounds can be caused by too many points or subjects in your video, light or shadows attracting too much attention, a too bright or too dark background, or an inappropriate background which may distract from the story.
If your video is upside-down when you play it or after you have converted it, then make sure you have the latest version of DirectVobSub installed and a recent version of a decoder such as FFDShow (see Codecs section). Also, you can quickly resolve this problem by using Vidmex Effects: select "Zoom/Flip" and click "Flip Vertically" button.
Did you ever try to watch your favorite movies or video records with mirror effect? With mirror effect, you can find some apparent visual elements which you haven't noticed before. Mirror image perception refers to the phenomenon whereby views of visual objects reflected about a central axis can be perceived differently due to common left-right spatial awareness. Vidmex has the function to flip the source video from left to right: select "Zoom/Flip" and click "Flip Horizontally" button.

Different videos will give different results, even with the same settings; it all depends on the colors in the video to begin with. In some cases, hue effect can be used to create cool scenes that look like another world:

Choose "Color balance" ![]() Color balance is a very powerful method of altering the look of your video. Whether you want to adjust colors, or to give your video a unique impression all your own, using color balance techniques will give you the ability. Ever wondered how some videomakers create perfect sunset, the rich, golden glow melting into an orange fire with perfect powder pink clouds dotting the skyline? It's a cunning trick, and one that a lot of videomakers 'in the know' like to keep to themselves, because a color balance can have a dramatic effect on your videos. In order to achieve this effect, drag the Red slider bar to the right (set Red value to 50), and drag the Green slider bar to the right (set Green value to 20).
Color balance have a hundred and one uses to pep up your video. Filmmakers have been using this effect for years to add an extra dimension to their films. Take almost any horror movie, for instance. The night-time shots are often filmed during the day or at dusk, and a blue color balance used to accentuate the feeling of night and coldness. On the other hand, a warm red color balance makes everything seem much sunnier and happier. It reminds us of balmy days on the beach, long summer evenings and holidays abroad. Scenes shot with an orange color balance (red + a half of green) also change our perception of the time of day - they imply sunsets, which in turn automatically make us think that it's late afternoon or dusk. So, we can change the weather to virtually anything we want - with the help of a color balance effect. Here's an example on how to change the feel of a scene from bright daylight to late afternoon: Drag the Red slider bar slightly to the right (or set the value of Red color to 50) from the "Color Balance" section. After that, click "Hue/Saturation" and decrease the Intensity by dragging appropriate slider bar to the left.
Green color balance conjures up feelings of the green-eyed monster - jealousy. You might create a scene showing a man talking to his girlfriend in a club, then we watch as the girlfriend sees him chatting to another woman. Using a green color balance, although very dramatic, would add to the feeling of jealousy. Another use of the green color balance is to add a sci-fi feel to your drama. The Matrix Trilogy was a pop-culture phenomenon. Portions of The Matrix - specifically those scenes that actually take place in the matrix - have been given a moderate green tint. Apparently this was done in an attempt to make scenes in the matrix look different from those in the "real world", which offered a distinctly blue shade.
Here's a way you can watch and convert almost any digital video with Matrix-style colors: drag Green slider bar slightly to the right (or set the value of Green color to 35).
Blue colors are actually very handy. Blue color balance makes the whole atmosphere somehow more spine-tingling, as if something nasty or frightening is lurking just around the corner:
The next technique allows you to create realistic night-time footage in the bright light of day. Blue color balance can save you from doing a night shoot - you can do it in broad daylight instead. The primary difference between a daytime shot and a nighttime shot is the way colors are perceived. You will notice that at night everything takes on a blue-purple hue. This is the effect you are going to mimic: 1) drag Blue slider bar to the right, 2) decrease Intensity level from the "Hue/Saturation" section and 3) decrese Brightness/Contrast.
Very interesting effect can be achieved by using Saturation and Color balance simultaneously. 1) Maximally decrease Saturation level from the "Hue/Saturation". 2) Adjust Red, Green, Blue levels from the "Color Balance". All dark colors of the video will be replaced with specified color:

Choose "Misc. effects" ![]() With the Emboss effect, your video appears metallic gray and the outlines of various figures are raised, making the video appear surreal. Click the "Emboss" button to achieve the illusion of an embossed video.
Go back in time! Create Black and White videos with a magical twist. Grayscale is an interesting effect to simulate old fashioned movies.
In some instances, you might want to invert your video. Inversion causes your image to reverse its colors, kind of like a photo negative. Whether to create a unique effect, or as a means to accomplish a more complex effect, inversion can be quite useful.
